What is a full-body MRI scan?

A whole-body MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is a type of scan that uses strong magnetic fields and radio waves to produce detailed images of the inside of the body. An MRI scanner is a large tube that contains powerful magnets. A complete body MRI scan can detect cancer lesions, aneurysms (blood vessel blockages), bone and joint issues, and spine problems inside the body.
